Factorio is a game that feels very close to perfection for me. This factory simulation does not just have an almost addictive gameplay loop, it also hits all the things that motivate me most: analyzing, creating, and optimizing. And there is always something to do, because:

The
factory
must
grow!
I play Factorio on stream, including the “Space Age” expansion released in 2024, which adds even more depth to the game and brings plenty of extra fun by turning familiar mechanics from the base game upside down and creating completely new challenges. So thinking outside the box is definitely required.
My Let’s Play as a VOD on YouTube
If you missed my livestreams on Twitch or YouTube—feel free to leave me a follow, it costs nothing but a single click—you can catch up on the growth of my factory on YouTube whenever it suits you. I have set up a playlist for that.
Anyone who wants to can also watch the first video directly there.
Want to Try It Yourself?
If you are thinking about trying Factorio yourself, I can only say: do it! In my experience, no other game pulls you into the world of automation games in such a smooth, relaxing, and satisfying way. Maybe Satisfactory can get close—but for me, that would still be second place. Although that would also be a great idea for a future stream.
Another advantage is that Factorio does not require a particularly powerful PC.

Factorio System Requirements

Where You Can Buy Factorio
I have linked a few stores here where you can buy Factorio. The game costs around 32 euros, and the “Space Age” expansion is another 32 euros. It is absolutely worth it, though, because this game can easily keep you busy for thousands of hours.
